The Grimes Public Library is starting a new reading program for young
readers called Book Buddies. This program will have young readers sign
up for 20 minute time slots with a teenage mentor ready to read with the
kids!
This is a great opportunity for young students
to find a role model for reading other than their teacher or parents.
The first Book Buddies will take place on January 24th from 10am-12pm at
the Grimes Public Library. We plan to offer the program every 4th
Saturday of the month, as long as we have a good turnout.
